I feel Happy

Daylight savings time is usually an oddly distressing time for me every year-I honestly believe it's me mourning the passing of long days, warmth, and the never-enough-time-for-me-in-the-garden feelings I have when summer ends. However, last night when the sun set at 5:30 and the sky burned pink and royal blue, I felt peaceful. I went about cooking and painting like an accepting soul who understood the passing of time through the dark half of the year as a truly basic necessity, like accepting water that is a little too warm compared to nothing, and I enjoyed the rest of my evening with Matt as if I was the most comfortable human being I could be.
And that to me is happiness.

I wouldn't exactly say I'm happy, but for once I'm really enjoying this moment of boredom

I feel vindicated. All the crap I had been gripping about at work and got told were approved were, in fact, not and has come back to bite management in the a$$. I'm in the clear with Corporate but others may find themselves pink slipped due to persistent refusal to abide by Corporate policies.

A quick update: the manager go fired and all of my suspicions about him trying to make me quit for non-performance reasons were, as I found out, true. Hopefully, the massive fart passed and recovery can start.

Congrats, looks like sticking with it just a little longer was worth it and in some other dimension you chose the other option and missed the show.

found a new place, moving in on the 15th so don't have to do the homeless thing again. Can't believe how hard it is to find a place.
