Soo... the landlord just showed up with a literal f**k ton of junk foods. Apparently the former building owners were hoarding just tons on top of tons of junk foods and rice, nuts, end of the world foods. Either some really messed up sh*t is coming, because stuff like this doesn't just happen without a metaphorical bullet being on the other end ooor he's running out of places to put it all and there's actually nothing on the other end. One of those things is far more likely then the other, and I don't think anyone around here can afford to move any time soon, definitely not 2016.

getting the feeling I'll be wearing headphones a lot this next few months. larder beetle's are already popping up all over the place and I hate things crawling around my ears. Why does this city have to be so buggy?!

Did I miss a memo somewhere, when did the word "Patriot" become synonymous with "racist redneck gun-humping bible-thumping a**hole republican"? Also, when did "liberal" become synonymous with "offended fragile whinny butt baby". I can't call my self patriotic or liberal any more without pissing off everyone in a 90000 mile radios

Even though American politics have always been divisive we have become even more so in the past 20 years, thus the reason why we the trope of the "patriot" and "liberal" cannot mix as the tropes have been assigned to the extreme ends of the political spectrum. (As an aside, I would contend that the political spectrum is actually a circle because the farther to one side a group goes the closer they resemble their opposite.)

so, 12:17 am. I just finished a post that I will post before the election results are done, but no sooner than November 8th because I don't want to put anything out into the aether. Not if I'm right, if I'm wrong eh, then I'm wrong. Maybe now I can get some sleep, this bugger was keeping me awake.

I've already called it: Hillary will win the electoral vote despite Trump winning the popular vote. As much as I wanted Bernie to win the Democratic nomination I knew there was absolutely no chance he would have been allowed to win.

I could really go for like, 5 big beautiful Belgian waffles right now. To bad they fall into the bread category which is one of those things I don't eat.

Decembers getting closer, 2016 is almost over but there is still choices to make and work to do, cant throw that party just yet.

I keep vacillating between two states: wanting to be in love with someone who is also in love with me and wanting to be an emotionless android.

As a classical liberal, the behavior of many "liberal" minded or "progressive" people at my University, school I'm teaching at, clubs/bars I work with or frequent, etc, actually kind of frightens me now.  I'm not sure when identity politics and collectivism became the biggest stance for so many liberals, but there's actually nothing very liberal about blanket statements and refusing to allow people with differing opinions to even be near you.  

Is anyone else having these issues in life?

That is why they get called "regressive" and why there is a surge in the alt-right. The younger portion of my generation is completely illiberal, and it is saddening how close to the right wing they look; it's because of the regressives that I've come to see that the political spectrum is more of circle than a line or a quadrant.

I actually hoped that after the crushing defeat across the political spectrum earlier this month, the established Democrats and the far left quasi-marxist millennials who view everything as gender or race related would realize they are not working well together, and that CNN and MSNBC are just vapid talking heads out of touch with regular folk. Yet, nope, they're all doubling down on the absolutism, not only are "all white people racist" and "all men sexist" and "all cis gender people transphobic"; but now Donald Trump was elected because there's evidently 100 million Nazis living in America, which is ridiculous that instead of asking why did we lose touch with people, they assume everyone who doesn't agree must be vile monsters.

The things I hear stated at my University would be considered symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia, but instead of claiming there's Reptile Aliens conspiring against them which would garner them trips to therapy and medication, they scream about the conspiracy of White-Supremicist-Patriarchial-Cis-Gender-Capitalist-Nazis who are out to get them, and they get a safe space and preferential treatment.

This is why I quit calling my self a liberal, the older people the 30+ out there that wont drink the Kool-Aid are still normal enough but a lot of them are drinking us and sanity is leaving. But this new batch of "liberals", the ones that put everyone into identity first person second hava gone way to far off into cultish f**ckery with their thought policing and hive mindedness. But if you don't join the cult they will ruin your career, or have you defunded if they feel your thing isn't as important as their thing, OR just harass you to the point of suicide. They even attack them self's if someone steps even the slightest bit out of line and no ones stopping this, no one is standing up and saying "you are not in the moral right here, you're being an a**hole". It's bullying but it's bullying that has full official support from the people in power.

That said though I can't see my self on the Right either, every time they open their mouths it's either directly negatively effecting me, my family, or my friends. The alt-right is just the Rights SJW's, they make the same arguments and use the same tactics but just with different words here and there. So instead of getting black likes matter you get, no lives matter or black lives don't matter. Instead of "person of color, person with autism" you get "black" and "that aspy", it's all the same all the way around now. So now I sit back with no party and take jabs at both of them when they do some f**ked sh*t and it's not a good way to make friends but it is a good way to keep my own sanity because last thing I want is to give up and join the Kool-Aid club on either side. I think for my self and I like it that way, I can I see how they are trying to divide us, I see how they ARE dividing us and I'm doing what tiny tiny bit I can to fight it.

Random thought of the day. I wonder if anyone's ever chopped and rearranged Atlas shrugged and/or Pulp Fiction so they were chronologically correct.

I still however refer to myself as a liberal, but i make sure people know that being liberal and being "progressive" or being involved in "social justice", are not at all synonyms. These ideas are all mutually exclusive.
