| The Ex Files: A Museum Displays Tokens of Busted RelationshipBreaking up is hard to do, and not only because you're stuck with a Facebook album full of happy pictures and the possibility of running into your ex while you're shopping for Ben & Jerry's and RomComs in your sweats. Because inevitably, we all end up with a heavy box full of stuff from the Ex-files that we don't quite know what to do with: Underwear, teddy bears, grooming products, jewelry. But now you can donate those pink furry handcuffs to the Museum of Broken Relationships, a new traveling exhibit dedicated to failed love, founded in Croatia. So not only can you "get rid of controversial objects, triggers of momentarily undesirable emotions, by turning them into museum exhibits," but you can also probably really piss off your boyfriend by putting his underwear on display. Fellow Croatians have already submitted everything from a sweet little teddy to an axe used for destroying furniture (terrifying). The museum's collection is currently on tour.http://www.brokenships.com/I think this would have come in handy back when I was dating.I was burning quite a bit of stuff that was given to me as gifts by people I wound up not seeing any more for whatever reason. | |

| You know when you break up with someone and they have some of your CD's but you still have the empty cases? Well I cut a bunch of those up and made a nice collage.
I wonder what my most recent ex did with the decorative-fetish apparel she had bought for me? I figure no one else is going to where it after i did, unless that's their fetish. | |

| I really like the museum idea, at least in theory, probably because I make collages and I'm sentimental as all heck. I say "in theory" because it would be challenging to display these, well, artifacts? without having it look like a random jumble of stuff. | |
