I agree with you. That's not the kind of detail you leave out when you're with the person you want to marry. He should have talked about this with her a long time ago.

I'm not anti-porn; it's just best to let your partner know something that might hurt her/him instead of covering it up. Then it's up to the partner to stay or go. Sensitive info can test a relationship, but how else will you know how strong the love is?

....And you never know what he might have gotten while doing porn.

By biological dad did something similar to my mom. Didn't tell her until after they were married that he'd been diagnosed with Borderline Paranoid Schizophrenia.

Trust is important, but I still can't help but feel the woman over-reacted. Its not the worst thing she could've found out about him.

nsane, I think most porn actors and actresses are tested regularly for STDs before they're allowed to film. (I'm not entirely sure, so don't quote me on that.)

I agree 100%.

Laugh if you want, but I know a porn star and her husband not only was involved in porn before he met her, he got her in to it as well.

It's not my thing and I'd never do porn nor would I marry a porn star, but try honesty and it just might work out.

Regardless, when you're talking something as serious as a potential threat on your life (i.e. AIDS, Hep, etc) people have a right to know.

I have a few things to say about this.

Keeping that a secret, especially since he was still doing and not like it was something he did in the past, is definitely a lie that is acceptable grounds for breaking up.

Also, the phrase "porn star" is thrown around way too much. There aren't that many "stars" in that avenue of entertainment, but there sure are thousands of dopey people who film themselves having sex.

if male parts enter female parts that is sex. when you are having sex with other people while in a relationship, and your partner doesnt know about it, or isnt ok with it. That is cheating.

I would have done the same. Call me old fashioned but sex means something to me.
It came up a couple of days ago. Something about a co-worker of his doing (in my opinion) in appropriate things when he has a girlfriend.

I too have a thing about cheating. If any guy or girl cheats on me once, their a$$ is to the curb.

I don't think they were really ment to be together in the first place.

It was wrong of him though not to tell her when they started getting serious, especially before moving into her flat, but I really doubt if that would have made any difference to her. It would be interesting to ask her if he had told her, how she would have felt about it and if by her saying ... "There was no way I could marry an adult film star" also includes those no longer in the business.

I understand what everyone else is saying here. But at the same time it seems like in everything else he was really good to her. I don't know about the rest of you but I wouldn't break up with him because of it. I would think that it was hot that my lover was in porn. I would even be showing people, "look at what my man can do in the sack... Watch it and be jealous biotch!!"

That said I would just want to have a talk about the whole thing. Not end the wedding because of it.
