| The Mistress Macabre (me) is in a funky mood today courtesy of a really weird but cool dream I had last night.
My mind is a very weird and scary place...but at times it can be fun.
Today is one of those days when my mind has chosen to allow me to have some fun.
So tell me, what songs bring you good luck or bad luck?
For me the following songs bring me good luck:
Home By The Sea - Genesis (which is great because I happen to love this song - the only Genesis song I like)
The Promise - When In Rome
How Soon Is Now - The Smiths
Rocky Mountain High - John Denver
Wildfire - Michael Murphy
Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
and although I hate these two songs with a fervor that I find difficult to put into words, they tend to bring me good luck when I hear them:
Beds are Burning - Midnight Oil
What's Going On (the "hey" song) - Three Non Blondes
So give us your songs...inquiring minds (or at least weird ones) want to know!

| The only good luck song for me is Metallica - It's Electric because I passed my driving test the first time.
Bad luck songs I dont really have any...

| That's cool Vampira.
The Promise by When In Rome came to be my good luck song in a similar vein...when I heard it, I won at the martial arts tournament I was in.
Anytime after that, if I happened to hear the song on the way to a tournament, I won.

| The Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy is my good luck song This is simply Welsh rugby related but whenever I've played it before a game, the boys have come good for me Normally I believe you make your own luck but this song just has something about it Dont ask me about my bad songs, too numerous to mention and we would all end up weeping | |

| It's Raining Men! by The Weather Girls! I'm only joshing! I don't think I have songs that bring me good luck or bad luck. There are songs that I associate with bad things and really good having happened, but not because of the song or songs. I more see things that I feel are good or bad omens. | |

| Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Times": I heard it in the car on the way to an ex-girlfriend, who was then the current on-again-off-again girlfriend. I realized while singing that song, she'd never be there for me like she was in the beginning, perhaps that was my fault too. She stuck by me through thick and thin when I was at my worst, I got better, but then I believe she stopped liking me. But I was taking care of her then and letting her live rent free with me, even though she'd leave for days at a time and was talking to someone else. I had become apathetic, but that damn song help me make up my mind, and as a great friend once told me "grow a foot and then put that foot down." After an incident at my house, that girl moved away, but assumed I'd still be taking care of her even though I weren't even intimate then: I told her no.
Thanks Cyndi Lauper. Now whenever I hear that song I get good vibe for the day.

| Well there is this one song... Good Day - The Click Five
It's only a coincidence that the song has the word good in it, because it was a few years back when I first happened to hear it over the radio. It creeped me out then as it still does.. There's just something about it. I keep thinking if the musical notes and the voices were turned into a mathmatical equation it would figure out to some kind of date for doomsday or something filed under creepy!
So I guess that might fall under the Good luck/Bad luck song.

Thanks Cyndi Lauper. Now whenever I hear that song I get good vibe for the day. That reminds me of something that happened with me. I was nearing the end of a relationship with someone who dropped out of my life for a few weeks, then came back in as though nothing happened. I felt taken for granted, and therefore ready to move on, but I was hesitating. And I remember hearing an Eagles song, "Already Gone." The lyrics that gave me the push I needed: Well I know it wasn't you who held me down Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key
