My English buddy Toby and I went to Osaka this week to see The Horrors at a small club. The night before the concert we found this quaint little French bohemian-looking bar and had a few drinks there. It was awesome!

I'm sorry to hear that you froze. Being New-England-born, I almost feel like I should apologize for the cold that snuck down to Florida! It's just not right.

Your hair looks good! It's bold, but you wear it well. And, nice quilt you're working on there.

Actually we did, Ginger. We headed there first and were the first on the ride for the day...a first for me!

I've been there early and gotten on quick, but never have I been first in line, first on the ride and the first person of the day to walk into the Haunted Mansion.



The changes they made were for the better and I liked them, especially the beautiful horse-drawn hearse out front, pulled of course by a phantom horse.

They didn't ruin it like the Pirates of The Caribbean ride.

Most people were wearing jackets and such, but this woman looked like she was ready for the beach.

It was okay once the sun got up over us a little more. I love the cold normally...fireplace and hot cocoa...but of course if I'm inside...ha ha!

All day we heard "Happy Anniversary" and "How many years?"

People were so shocked..."16 years?"

I guess it's practically unheard of for people to be married that long in today's world.

Thanks for the haircut compliment. I like it too. It can be a pain (when your hair is so short every hair has to be in place or it looks bad) but I'm loving it so far.

My quilt is for my niece and I hope she enjoys it.

I had a panic attack on the Haunted Mansion ride when I was 12. That was when my parents first realized that there was something wrong with me. Since my mom's side of the family is from St Augustine I've had a few chances to try it out whist on anti-depressants/psychotics and it's quite fun.

Also, the hair and hubby are lovely. And props to a fellow gothy crafter. Quilts pwn.

I am such a ninny for cold weather as well. I often say I am cold blooded and I need a heat pad with me to maintain my body temp

45 is shorts and t-shirt weather.

Wow...sorry to hear that you had a panic attack. I first went on the Haunted Mansion I think when I was five or seven and loved it.

I have always been a darkling though and morbidity is my niche.

I adore St. Augustine and wish I lived there.

That's where hubby and I spent our honeymoon and we have gone back a couple of times since - the very last time we were able to enter the Presbyterian Public Burial Ground where all the yellow plague victims are buried.

We'd been there twice before and couldn't get in. The last time when we took our son, a little old couple was fixing up the area and let us in.

Oh and house-wise, I so want to live in the tiny leather shop or the little house that's now the snack shop right there across from the fort.

I'd kill for the kitchen in it!

Thanks for the hair and hubby compliments and yes, quilting rules...although I'm sure quilt snobs would eviscerate me for doing them my own way.

I love your new hairstyle GS! You have the features to carry off such a bold look Mr D is a great fan of the crop but I couldnt wear it half as well as you do

You and hubby both look as if you were having lots of fun even if you did have massive cold goosebumps!

On St. A- my grandad had a PhD in archaeology and was the director of the historical society. He could and now my grandma can get me in whenever i want with just a phone call. Awesomest random perk of my peculiar and interesting family.
