I'm so socially retarded I don't even notice compliments or react to them proper at all.

Like this one time at a club some girl came up to hit on me and said she liked my hair. being the oblivious jackass that I am I responded with "thanks!" then turned back to the people I was with. Mind you I was also good and drunk at this point so that might have had something to do with it too. Don't remember a whole lot after that but god bless her, she wasn't one to give up easily and took me by the arm and brought me over to the bar to buy me another drink.

Top lass. Shame I'm retarded and hardly vaguely remember her.

A while back, I used to have TONS of people telling me that I looked like someone off American Idol. I can't remember the name now though...and I've never actually watched the show. I think it was only becuase that chick had a blonde streak in her hair or something...

lol! one of my favorite compliments was this older woman who came up to me and said:

"You could be such a pretty girl, why would you do this to yourself?"

A few gems:

On a brighter note: A love letter was once tossed to me from a moving bus.

Once I was in Hot Topic and one of the girls working there said I reminded her of Rose McGowan, because of my facial features. Which was cool, because its the first time I've received a compliment like that.

Probably the weirdest "compliment" I've received is when my father informed me that I "looked like something that had died, been buried, and dug up again." He meant it jokingly at least...

Oh, I almost forgot this one:

A guy I was dating in college once told me, "You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, with the exception of Liv Tyler."

There is no appropriate smiley for that.

I really hope I don't need to tell anyone this, but *never* tell someone who they're playing second fiddle to. Don't ever tell someone that they're only slightly less attractive than so-and-so. It was hurtful, funny and infuriating all at once.

Epilogue: he looked me up ten years later (?!). He called me at work, too...I was left with that "wtf?" feeling all day.

Eh, I wouldn't take it to the heart. Liv Tyler is just some celebrity...everybody has celeb.crushes/or celebs. they think are gorgeous as f**k.

One time I was at the mall shopping. That particular day I had a lot of purple on. I was walking to the store and there was a group of guys who started singing the song "Purple Rain" by prince as I walked by. I could tell they were kinds checking me out-but I still felt like they were poking fun at me.

It was a bit embarrassing.

I hate that -- when guys are checking you out but also poking fun at you, because they don't know how to just start a conversation. Yeah, that's a turn-on, all right.

Mostly when I go out dressed in my romanti or victorian or edwardian outfits ill get compliments occasionally ive had tourists ask to take pictures with me since they think I look nice.
