| I've been in a creative mood lately. I want to make loose hair falls. Wouldn't mind making dread falls, but I don't know what kind of stuff you'd have to buy for them. Does anyone know how to make dread falls or loose falls? | |

| I hope that's helpful. I was hopeful Chelsea666's tutorial on making falls was still there,it was but all the pictures that made the tutorial easy to understand were gone. | |

| It helps. I can't braid worth crap, so i'm going to try to make the loose falls first. Going to stack up on bulk hair and get to work. | |

| I swear Chelsea's tute is SOMEWHERE on ikickshins.net.. I just can't find it right now. If you get frustrated with the loose falls, you can always just order them. They are on sale now!!! http://ikickshins.net/toyokalon.htm |

| That's why I want to make my own. I have very little money. I saw the sale and i'm too broke to afford them. | |

| I had another thought, too... you may want to consider doing wool/yarn falls instead...they are SO easy to make, and super cheap. And you can keep adding to them over time! |

| That works! I have tons of wool and yarn here!
And I found chelsea's page, so i'm going to use that as a model. Just missing the hot glue gun. | |

| *Pssss*
They actually have teeny little handheld ones at the dollar store, along with glue cartridges, that are actually pretty decent!! |

| Oooo, sweet! Thankies! I've been looking online for places that sell wild colored hair extensions. It shouldn't cost too much. If I don't have enough money, i'll put them on hold and wait til I have more money. | |

| There's a girl on Heavenly Hair who makes "dread" falls out of strips of fleece. Since when you cut out fleece, the structure of it make it curl in on itself, they come out looking almost like felted wool dreads. I imagine they would be super-lightweight and fleece is way cheap! | |

| ^That sounds really wicked... and I've never heard of that before, other than just as accent pieces... I will have to look into that myself! |

| Here's one of the girl's examples of the faux dread thing. Obviously, it would look more, uh, "natural" if your hair was closer to the color of the fleece. But who cares about that! | |

| You should! That's probably the easiest way to make dreads ever. I don't much about loose falls though. Chelsea seriously needs to get over here--she's the expert on these things. | |

| There you are, Dark Gentleman! We were wondering where you were over in the DIY thread. Its not my thread, but if it were, I would certainly say cyber falls are allowed. | |

| I think Cyber Fall talk would be okay, for the sake of not making a million different threads on the topic of Hair. |

| Hey guys! *waves* Here's a link to my tutorial over on Heavenly Hair. Unfortunately though, I have been unable to find those darn clips in ages, and I haven't found anything similar to use. http://www.extra-muffins.com/hair/viewtopic.php?t=5880AngelOfTheNight: If your hair is too short or thin to tie in falls mounted the usual way (on an elastic strip, or strip of lace), another thing to think about is purchasing ponytail falls from your local beauty supply store. They usually come on a mesh drawstring buncover, or a banana clip that has a mesh buncover stretched over it. Then, you can just buy weft in funky colors, and sew on strips of it onto the mesh buncover to add it. | |
