I'm thinking this was probably the wrong way to put things.

Probably not the BEST way to put it... but I see the point. Couldn't he have just made a statement about the ratio imbalance and ask more women to move there...? What does it matter what they look like...?

I think I get it, its all spelled out within the first two paragraphs. He wants “beauty-disadvantaged” females to move to his community where most of the men are "miners and cowboys and were not as fussy as they might be when it came to love"

Basicly the men that would have an increasingly hard time finding love and the women that also would find it increasingly hard could find their odds of finding someone much better at this town. Its sweet in an odd way

It happens to me too,sometimes I have to read something twice.It's embarressing espically if it's something that's easy for everyone else to understand.
