| Seattle, October 12.
What to wear?
What does one usually wear to an industrial concert? I usually go more for the romantic things but I feel the need to incorporate some industrial elements. Any of you plus-size ladies out there ever go industrial? | |

| I'm not plus-size, but I think clothes with clean, modern lines and a few dramatic silver accessories are a good place to start. I've got a couple 1/2" strips of silver faux leather that I like to wear as neckpieces or armbands. Something like that would look good. | |

| I guess search to see what you like best.
Are you going more metal-industrial or cybergoth?
If you're looking for inspiration on cybergoth: Plastik Wrap... Cryoflesh... and Artifice should give you ideas.
The metal industrial I always thought was the canvas and current militia looks... Like this
I could be mixed up on my subcultures again too... |

| I actually think standing out from the industrial crowd in your romantic velvet would be delightful! However, if you want to change it up a bit, I totally understand that. Well, since I'm also a plus-size, I know what a dilemma it is to find a suitable outfit. I think Alenuska's idea of the cheongsam and boots is cool, but if you're anything like me, you would NEVER leave the house with a second-skin PVC/silk dress on. We curvy gals often need some help in the waist covering department. So, my idea would be a big, poufy short skirt like this (but with a crinoline under to make it bigger), black fencenets with purple tights underneath, an underbust corset and maybe a silk top with a mandarin collar or some other top with a high collar and no sleeves. Don't forget the stompy boots! | |

| Pin strips are good and sliming too! Perhaps a corset? maybe layered over a shirt with fishnets underneath that? a nice pencil skirt and some more fishnets? Or general cyberish gear, platform boots, crazy hair and make up? Cyber and industrial are what you make it as with every fashion but add a corp cyber or industrial edge to things with pinstrips, pvc, pure black, neon or silver highlights, clean lines and minimalism. | |
