| Ok, heres the back story to this. A few days back we were just randomly chatting in Guild chat on PWI and someone asked this question, some people gave the far to fast knee jerk answers and some are still thinking it over but I thought it was good enough to post here so I'll share and see what you all think.
"Is there something that your country's government could do that would un-settle you to the point to where you'd want to leave that country?"

| If they reintroduced the death penalty This lousy UK coalition government is already showing it's true colours and I hate it immensely but if they did bring back state murder then I would quite happily move to Prague and live out the rest of my days there | |

| Right now the only thing I can think of is if it became a comunism breeding ground. | |

| Actually, Gareth and I had considered that during Dubya's presidency. G is from New Zealand and has retained his NZ citizenship, and there had been times over those 8 years when the U.S. changed to the point at which I wondered what country I was in. G would say, "let's just go." We stayed for our friends/family, but also b/c I was pigheaded about not losing ground (literally) against those whose views I opposed.
Still, the notion is not completely off the table, even now.

| ^^Yep, those were some dark times. At least you guys had a place to go! LOL
I guess if Sarah Palin became president I'd look for a way out of here. She's nuts! She'd be 100 times worse than Bush!

| ^^ Hoo, don't get me started on her. I didn't even let my mind wander that way, but if she did win, we'd head to NZ and bring as many of our loved ones with us as possible! | |

| ^^ I'd have to agree, Sara Palin as president I'd be on my way to Canada. If They pass the law to tax indian reservations for cigarett's or anything, I dont care what it is if they go and break all those laws and treaties against those sovereign nation's I'm done, pack my bag I'm done | |

| I can endure a lot, but I think if America became an outright (Christian) theocracy, I would high-tail it out; I'd be among the first to be put on the chopping block for being an atheist. | |
