Yay! It's about time! It seemed like such a long process.

Got the letter today from Department of State National Visa Center daying 7/18/13 that within a week they're sending everything over the the Embassy in England.

Went to the mattress store and got me a whole new bed.  And they threw in a free sheet set and a pair of fancy pillows! Woot!

Company paid for lunch today, Friday is bonus day, and I found out I'm getting $2,000 as a wedding gift to pay for the 1st and last on an apartment for us.

Good day.

Raise day today, going out with friends for dinner for one of their birthdays, and going to spread the love with some "special reserve" cigars afterwards.

Signed the lease to my own apartment today
Also cut my hair since it grew about 5 inches since November.
Feeling happy and grateful
The apartment is in a nice established neighborhood, quiet, one bedroom with hardwood floors and beautiful tiling in the bathroom and kitchen. Everything is paid for except electricity, which is inexpensive in the area

I've been slowly building a set of books that I'd lost a few years back and I was just able to get the last 9 I needed plus some overflow for 12.99$ it's not that often I can find a good find for cheap any more on ebay, none the less win it for that price.

Went on a shopping spree and it felt gooooooooood!  

I move back to Lincoln tomorrow.

finally got positive feedback from the one seller, it took a few weeks but I maintain my 100% rating

Timeline of the Visa permitting, we're looking to get married on Halloween.  We're thinking Salem, as much of a madhouse as that's going to be.  

Options for costumes at the moment are Beetlejuice and Lydia, and Dracula and Mina Harker.

There's also time to think of other things.  I just don't know where to begin.

That's fast approaching sir, I hope you get all those ducks in a row because your wedding sounds like it will be all kinds of awesome.  

Also, if you go with the Dracula/Willamina theme:  The bridesmaid's could be dressed as Dracula's three brides and the maid of honor could be dressed as Lucy, whereas the groom's men could be dressed as Wilamina's three suitors and the best man could be dressed like Jonathan Harker.  Which would be very fun, since they'd be standing behind the opposite character they're supposed to shadow. If only we could find Abraham Van Helsing to marry you.

Friday was one of those good days are work where I get out at 2 and paid until 5.

Some of you have heard this and some have not, but I've gotten the all-clear! There are no longer any cancer markers inside my body! They think it'll take me a good year to get my strength fully back, but hey, no cancer!

After some financial counseling from my hubby and me, my parents decided against buying the house in Waterbury, CT. It wasn't the financial stuff that worried me - I was more concerned about them being an hour and a half away from me. Even though they would have only a few minutes away from my brother, he could be a bit of an a**hole at times and very unreliable. Regardless of where they live, if something ever happened to them, I'd be the one taking care of them, not my brothers.

Found an apartment for us.

Everything new, decent size, (bedroom is a touch smaller than I'd like, but we'll live) 2 miles from work and right in town proper, so she can go out and do things and not be stuck in an apartment every day while we wait for her to be able to work, tennis and basketball courts and swimming pool, the building is a converted factory so the walls are thick and it's quiet, and the rent was negotiable so we got it for $150 less than it was advertised. Building and pool are key fob access only, so good and private.

Filling out the application and everything should go well and and we'll have it and I can start moving into it beginning of November.

Where'd you move to?

Same town I'm in at the moment, just on the other side. It's official, signed the lease yesterday.

Along with the proximity to work, it's also close to my gym, which is not to far from my work, so I can finally start working off this horrible 45 pounds I've put on in the last year.

^Wow, it seems like you've hit the awesome apartment trifecta- close to work, nice complex, close to things you want to do! A rarity.
