| What is your perspective on "life, the universe and everything", what's right or wrong, just or unjust, what works & what doesn't in the grand scheme of things, what is it all FOR?
I'm a buddhist and I try to live my life by NOT hurting other's. Not too fancy but that's me.

| ^That's good enough for me! I think some Goths find a certain connection with that sort of philosophy, because we know how it feels to be hurt... not to stray dangerously into "Emo" territory... but many of us are considered outsiders, and thus we know how crap-tastic it feels to be hurt...and never want to make another human being feel that way. |

| Right now I am kinda going through an agnostic phase, but I do feel that you should treat others with respect because it will come back to haunt you. | |

| "Live Fast and Die Young" haha, no just joking!
I cant say I have ever really found one to be honest. No point in sayin "Live Life to the fullest" and all this crap because no one ever does.

| Cogito Ergo Sum here. I like debating to myself over if I exist or not, and if there is proof that I exist. Also, isia moriendo renascor. Aka "In death I am reborn". I plan to get both as tattoos one day. Yeah, I'm a strange one. | |

| My bf is very big on Buddhism. He is a minimalist. He doesn't like celebrating holiday's. His idea on marriage, well lets not even go there. He likes his solitude even though he loves spending time with me. I'm at a point where my feelings are all mixed about my beliefs. I believe in God but not too fond of the church. I guess I do the best I can. I'm not a criminal and I don't disrespect anyone. I've been told that people take advantage of me but it's in my nature to be kind so like a fool i let them. I don't know | |

| ^^ If religion is important to you then why not explore others? I have done this for a major part of my life I never agreed with what has been written in the Bible. There are so many to choose from. I kept thinking that you were a Wiccan or a Pagan. | |

I kept thinking that you were a Wiccan or a Pagan. Others think that too. It is something I'm looking into. I have books that I've been reading and such.

| That's smart. A really nice Buddhist monk once told me that there were no right or wrong paths. (We were discussing religion at the time)He said that all people should take peices of what feels right for them from whatever belief system felt right and live them. | |

| I agree, there's so many religions to choose from. Just choose the one that best suits you. I personally love religion and learn about all of them. Think it brings out the best in some people, not all though. | |

| Even if there happens to be no god or deity of what-so-ever, there is no harm in believing in something. Studies show that people who are religious/spiritual have better lives and tend to be happier. | |

| I'm Wiccan, it works perfectly for me and certainly fulfils me. I think my philosophy is quite a common one - just treat people as you would wish to be treated yourself, with decency, respect and courtesy. Simple enough really | |

That is what the bible says. People take everything else literally but they can't even follow that simple rule.

| If today was perfect there would be no need for tomorrow. I also believe that if bad things didnt happen we would never truly appreciate the good things.
Im told all the time, more so recently, that Im too nice, or that Im a pushover. And apparently I let people take advantage of me. But I also believe in karma. So if a drunken friend rings me at 4 am and wants a lift, I will give it to them. I could be that drunken friend one day (although I dont really drink, and I would never get drunk without a means of getting home, but whatever.)

It all boils down to the same thing of treating people as you would yourself expect to be treated. I would go to the end of the earth if one of my friends needed me and I truly believe that they would return the favour! I admit I also do believe pretty heavily in karma

| You may be kind enough to go out of your way for them, but are they kind enough to go out of their way for you? My general rule is to expect nothing from people in return for you giving everything. | |

I hate to say it... I like to believe in karma (and have seen in my own life some pretty sweet instances of karmic retribution)... but in this vein, at least...pessimism seems almost healthier than trusting in cosmic justice. |

| Currently I have two:
If we're going out...we're going all the way.
&
Dirty girls need love too.
But I wrote something when I was high school;
How can we ever be happy, when we spend all our time, worrying about the future, and trying to forget the past?
