Unknown creature rips apart family SUV

A family in Lincoln County, North Carolina is in shock and experts are scratching their heads after a bizarre car attack.

Holly Gilliam says she woke up to find her SUV ripped apart. She says the scary part is that she didn't hear or see anything all night.

The automobile lights were ripped out and the body of her car has thousands of dollars worth of damage. The unknown creature also destroyed the brakes.

There were even some muddy paw prints no bigger than tennis balls left on the SUV.

"I would have never thought anything could do that. And if it did that to the car, what could it do to me?" said 8-year-old R.J. Gilliam. "I'm gonna be on the lookout all the time to see if anything's coming at me."

Experts couldn't say for sure what caused the damage.

Weird tale! I cant see that an animal would target the headlamps and the brakes

Intereting, I'll give them that much but that videos not good enough to say anything about it.

Once about 6-7 years ago My mother had a tire stolen of her car and we didn't hear a thing either but we didn't go calling it some sort of a monster that did it... Considering thats a fiberglass body on that SUV and only a few key things were targeted and it wasn't as random as it would have been if it weren't human, yeah I'll call this human... She might even have had a hand in it like those people that faked the dead bigfoot to get their 15 minutes or insurance scam.

Sounds like the work of a bear. The scratches look consistent with bear claws.

Ya, i was wondering about the holes.

Maybe it was a baby bear or someone trying to cover it up as an animal attack

This article almost reminds me of a so called "Jersey Devil" attach on a woman's suv on Monsterquest. Maybe they should set up outside surveillance to see if that creature comes back.

Hmmm, it was probably human, and probably set up. An animal wouldn't have targeted specific parts of the vehicle, it would've ripped the whole thing apart.

Though it is interesting to imagine some mysterious creature doing the damage. If I were to guess what kind of "animal" did it I would say it looks like the work of a werewolf. Smile

I don't know about cars, but bears will tear up fridges just to get to the insulation.
