| So, the folks at my work have been discussing movies for the last two weeks, mostly due to how amazing The Dark Knight was. This spurned a debate of what movies in the last decade (2000-present) have been the best; to which I said The Departed, The Dark Knight, Pursuit Of Happyness, Minority Report, Gangs Of New York, LOTR: Return of the King, No Country For Old Men, The Antwon Fisher Story, Walk The Line, Training Day are probably the top top ten so far.
This spurned a "best of the 90's" debate, which started perhaps the nerdiest thing I've ever done, create a Top 50 films of the 1990's. These are of course my opinions, feel free to point and laugh, but after creating this list over two days...I had to do something with it. So here it is:
Spooky's Top 50 Films of the 1990's
1. Forest Gump 2. Braveheart 3. Usual Suspects 4. Shawshank Redemption 5. Fight Club 6. Pulp Fiction 7. Silence Of The Lambs 8. Unforgiven 9. The Hudsucker Proxy 10. 5th Element 11. American History X 12. The Fugitive 13. Goodfellas 14. Being John Malkovich 15. The Professional 16. Natural Born Killers 17. True Romance 18. Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas 19. Green Mile 20. American Beauty 21. The Big Labowski 22. 12 Monkeys 23. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape 24. Primal Instinct 25. Jerry McGuire 26. Good Will Hunting 27. Clerks 28. Saving Private Ryan 29. Jurassic Park 30. A Nightmare Before Christmas 31. The Matrix 32. South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut 33. Donnie Brasco 34. Philadelphia 35. Chasing Amy 36. The Sixth Sense 37. Fargo 38. Train Spotting 39. Miller's Crossing 40. Interview With A Vampire 41. Se7en 42. Dracula 43. Philapdelphia 44. Blade 45. The Craft 46. Boondock Saints 47. Buffalo 66' 48. The Pelican Brief 49. A Bronx Tale 50. Dogma
Honorable Mention: Raising Arizona, Thursday, Rushmore, In The Mouth Of Madness, Sling Blade, American Perfekt...and maybe even Terminator 2.
I'd should probably kick my own ass for putting as much thought into this as I did.

Honorable Mention: Raising Arizona, Thursday, Rushmore, In The Mouth Of Madness, Sling Blade, American Perfekt...and maybe even Terminator 2. I've seen nearly every movie on that list except for Boondock Saints, Buffalo 66' and A Bronx Tale Good will hunting sent me to sleep though... I think you could replace Terminater 2 with the movie so bad they are rewriting history with the Series so it never happens. Of coarse I mean T3

| Endless; You just don't like films that start with 'B', I get it.
You have to see A Bronx Tale, it's fabulous, DeNiro is great.
Buffalo 66' is also very good; it's Vincent Gallo's directing debut with Christina Ricci. There is just this completely dry humor mixed with Gallo's character who has this awful temper; check it out. My ex showed it to me, and I was sold.

| I love Bronx's Tale, Spooky. Pretty much anything involving DeNiro and mafia is great, though | |

I know Evolution!!! I stated my obsession with the movie before, and I state it now. I think I may be in love with Ledger's Joker sexy as hell. The whole movie was an excellent thing, perfect. Reccomenden 100 percent. - Maxmordon wrote:

I also tend to reccomend everything with Johnny Depp on it every time I get the chance to.
Ever saw the movie where Depp plays a Cuban sargeant and a drag queen Of course! Sexiest thing ever... There are some clips on youtube...but I was afraid to post some because we have got to keep things PG13... I found a nearly clean one. ~Before Night falls ( Johnny Depp as Bon Bon and Lieutenant Victor: a sensual and ironic music video with scenes from "Before Night Falls", by Julian Schnabel. Warning: male love, if you find it offensive please don't watch. Music: "Because the night" by Patti Smith.) Ye be warned.

| Anything by the Brothers Quay is excellent! They actually make short films, but some can tend to run long. They're very abstract, surreal, & damn amazing! This one is called "Streets of Crocodiles." I highly recommend the rest of their videos! They also have a dvd them all. http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=3051256Then there's always A Clockwork Orange. One can never go wrong with that movie! The Shining Pink Floyd's The Wall The Fountain (from the director of Requiem for a Dream if anyone saw it) Great imagery & a heartfelt story! Audition Run Lola Run (German with English subtitles-very cool!) What the Bleep Do We Know? (to make you think about your entire existence!) The Virigin Suicides | |

Holy damn! Johnny never ceases to amaze me! Same with me WrappedinReflection! He's a superior being. And you have got some taste! A Clockwork Orange is an all time favorite. I would also like to bring to all of us memories, the great "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" damn! I remember ringing a bell during "Planet Schmannet", and wearing party hats during Rocky's birthday song!! Then, I think "Gothic" was very good, "The Fearless Vampire Killers" is a fav too, first because it is Roman Polanski behind it!!!!! "From Dusk till Dawn","Hellraiser", "The Lost Boys" (essential!), "Igor" (me loves), "Camp Slaughter" are also some of my favorites.
