I just took red polish off and cut them. When I go to the nail salon I get a manicure and a french manicure with black tips. I don't like the acrylics, I feel like I can never get my hands clean enough cause there is stuff under/between the nails.
I figured out how to give myself the black tips but I still like going in for a manicure I enjoy the hand massage!
Emma I really like your press on idea. Can those press on nails be reused? So if one were to painstakingly paint spiderwebs like you had, it would only have to be done once?

They can be re-stuck, but the get kinda gross after a week of wear (like what you said about acrylics).

Im a biter. As in painfully, down past the nail bed, bleeding, ripping the skin biter. I paint my nails red when I can, but I just chew the polish off then start biting again. Disgusting innit?

^^ They are pretty. Everytime I want to go somewhere to get mine done and look all pretty and such, one cracks. So at this point I just use polish polishes and go that way.

I usually get acrylics, which I guess no one is a fan of! I just hate getting them filled and having to hold hands with a stranger for a half hour. But I adore the look of long talon like nails, which mine refuse to grow as. *le sigh* -.-

I used to get acrylics a lot. I stopped getting them because I'm trying to make my own nails strong enough to be long on their own. For the most part they are fine. It's just when they all get to be the perfect length where I want to go to the nail salon and pamper myself with a color, one or more crack.

About that pic I posted earlier: I don't know if it's the color itself, the topcoat or my application method, but so far the polish has held up *really* well. No chips, none, and I painted them on Sunday (and work with my hands).
The topcoat is by SpaRitual. This might be making the difference though: the last couple days I've had to add an extra layer of topcoat b/c some overspray of Deep Woods Off, believe it or not, softened and dulled my polish. So what they say about adding topcoat nightly to refresh a manicure might actually be true.

As soon as I have the money I'm getting proper talons. In the meantime, I've been devouring part of my Avon profits by buying every strange shade of nail polish I sell. My nail addiction is a problem.

^^Thanks! I love the crackle, but I really don't like it's matte finish. I should use a clear polish over it next time to make it shiny.
I should do something about my cuticles, too. LOL
