I ought not have spent money on nailpolish today... but I got teeny bottles of silver and gold glitter, and I bought them at a place where I'm applying for a job, so that ought to win me some points. Also I didn't go above $10.

My friend's mom is an artist. She wasn't selling a lot so she picked up a job at a nail salon. So she does nails by day and her art at night.

She painted her self portrait on her thumb once.

I just did the whole velvet nails thing. I used stuff from hobby lobby instead of spending 20 bucks on the kit from Sephora.

I kinda like it.

^Ooo, that's fabulous! I've had bad luck with my nails of late. I've all but given up on my beloved falsies in the name of re-learning how to play the guitar, so I love looks like that that can look good even on my banged-up, stubby left-hand fingers.
