I feel Happy

So thankful for the rain today.

Matt & I went to Jazz on the Green last night, which is a free jazz concert. It was fun! Sweaty, but fun The band was really good.

Got our bonuses from work today.

So, I knew we had a bonus on top of a bonus coming to us.

Surprise when I walked in today, our Branch Manager informed us we we were getting a bonus on top of a bonus on top of a bonus.

I want a bonus

After the post office lost my package for a few days, I finally have my corset! Yay!

I had hash brownies for the first time last night. I admit I enjoy the feel of hash edibles compared to the other methods.

Well, I just applied to this -- Education Associate at the Nasher Museum at Duke. That would be a job worth taking 2 or 3 buses for. So exciting...

I found a new skirt today for $4.00 and got two new shirts $5.99 each. Used my $10 off coupon so only had to pay $6. Amazing!

Yesterday my family had a party with our close family friends, which we do every year. My sister ran over to me halfway through the party to tell me Mom was there. My sister, who has always been extremely sensitive, told me Mom was behind her playing with her hair and smiling. I don't know if you guys believe in that sort of thing, but I do, and it makes me happy to know that my Mom has really never left us.

Finally completed and submitted the last of my late school assignments. Whew! Even with the extension the prof gave us I still couldn't finish everything on time. I feel so relieved to be done with everything. I'll probably lose major points, but they're only worth 5% of my grade a piece. I'd rather have points deducted for lateness than get zeros for not turning it in. Now that I'm caught up I can move on with my life. I don't know, but those assignments were looming over my head like a dark cloud. I couldn't focus on anything else this past week worrying about those stupid reports. Ironically I couldn't sit my a$$ down long enough to work on them during the week. I am my own worst enemy.

There are four weeks left in the semester. Can't wait for it to end.

I'm so glad this is my day off. I mean, I'd rather just never have to work on weekends, but I really needed a day this week to just slow down and not have to answer to anyone.

I finally slept/woke up without getting dizzy!

Might spend some of my bonus money on a proper shaving set.

This prospect excites me.

I just got back from a lovely meeting with a few of the girls who will be modeling for my thesis project. It really helped me get out of a depressive funk I've been in and has started to get energized about my thesis.

I now have sketches, some of my fabrics, and measurements for the models I met with tonight.

Did pretty well at a craft fair this weekend that I participated in with one other friend. Our booth made about $600, and we made our money back for the spot within the very first few hours. Besides selling well to the local spooky kids and older goths, I met a local celebrity that I watched on a midnight horror movie show and maybe commissioned to make creepy hair flowers for a woman's gothic wedding. My friend and I have only one more craft fair we maybe participating in, which would be a Halloween weekend at a Renaissance fair. Really looking forward to it, just to be able to dress up and people watch!
