I feel Happy

It's one of those Fridays where I get out of work at 2, but paid until 5.

I have 14 credit hours left to take if I pass everything this semester until I get my B.A.A.

^^That was weird. Some folks were able to get in but not others.

Went to one of the best Halloween parties I've ever been to (hosted in new friend's Victorian home...so pretty >.<) Really put me in the Halloween spirit!

My best friend brought me a giant coffee mug from Disney World with Jack Skellington making a wide-grimacing face that says "Mornings are my worst nightmare." I love it.

Just a few more questions to get out of the way and I'm done with my next level of work training.

The other people I went to New York with aren't even half way done yet.

I'm finally wearing the pair of hair falls I bought months ago! There kinda on the short side, but I really like them. Wish I bought a mixed pair now, like red and black.

Finally got the last of my Halloween stuff today. Tomorrow I can start decorating the apartment for the Halloween party I'm having next weekend. Yay! With work and school and all I just don't have the time to do stuff during the week, so the more I do this weekend the better off I'll be.

Turns out the cheap ladies "zombie" costume I bought at the Rite Aid pharmacy was perfect for my witch costume. It's a black/grey handkerchief dress with spaghetti straps and tattered leggings/footless tights. The dress fits perfectly, but the tights won't fit my superior posterior so I cut a hole through the crotch for my head and turned it into a long-sleeve shirt to wear under the dress. The dress itself also had some weird scarf thing attached to it. I'm going to rip it off the dress and use it to decorate my witches hat.

I'm trying to make myself into a better person. I know I have a lot of work on myself to do. I have kept a lot of negative things in and compacted them tighter and tighter over the years. I want to be who I used to be. I want to be that girl that was loud, caring, confident, a leader, and wouldn't back down to anyone or anything. I'm making baby steps towards self love and self healing. I always want things done quickly. I'm just happy I'm making the baby steps and putting in the time for self healing.

My student loan money came in!

I budgeted it out, and deposited a good-sized chunk of money into the group bank account my roommates and I have. It should cover rent and internet bills through May, which is a huge relief.

I found my mini mouse for my laptop! I've been looking for the damn thing for months. It was in side table drawer the whole time. Bonus: it lights up in changing colors.

It's the little things, people! LOL

Out of work at 2 again today, paid til 5.

Especially glad today, because I was able to get some shopping done before all the crazy people got out of work and bum rushed the stores because of the hurricane that may hit up here.

The Halloween party I had last night went really well. I didn't think the small amount of people I invited would even show, but we had a good turn out and it was nice to see their friendly faces again. We did have some uninvited guests in the basement, however, that started to play with a few of my guest's hair and throwing stuffed animals around. But they left as soon as they came (the woods in the back of my sub-division is extremely active, especially around this time of year. I guess the party drew them in)

Now to relax!

Tomorrow's plan: Hair professionally dyed , then an interview at the Museum of History! It's just a front desk position, but it's full-time, pays $1 more per hour than my current wage, and it's a State government job -- so I can expect vacation time, sick days, health insurance. And maybe even lunch breaks. Eeeep -- so nervous!

I've also just completed step 2 of my application for a City job that would put me in charge of arts recreational programs at a local arts center. Filled out a questionnaire and pulled a lesson plan out of thin air (the position requires teaching, which I haven't done, but hey, the worst they can say is No); emailed them both back. Now I wait for a call for an interview.

I HAVE INTERNET AGAIN!!

Well, so far today, I've got to sample a fine perfume that smells like a woodland orgy (it is both primal and lustful), lick the blood off of Sweeney Todd's cheek and finger, bestowed my tribute upon the cheek of Lady Loki, and had my heart flutter for a WWII soldier (albeit, that may have been just my occasional heart arrhythmia acting up). I still have more vices to indulge but I would count this as a good day.
