| Definitely countries in the plural! I just wonder how cities like York and Edinburgh would take to little old Derby being a haunted mecca! | |

| I think you can find ghost stories whenever you search. A common proverb here is that "electricity killed all our ghosts" meaning that folk tales got lost in time with roads, radio, TV, etc... | |

| Hmmm I'll have to take a trip to Derby - never been there before. With not knowing much about Derby's ghostly past I would have never of guessed it to be the top spot. I thought York would be the number one. | |

I have heard that before and also that isolated places have more ghosts and phenomena. Probably why rural Wales has more than her fair share of ghostly tales - we have a haunted town house in nearby Conwy, a headless horseman about two miles down the road and a house that was apparently inhabited by shift shaping sisters who turned themselves into malevolent pussycats (sounds like Lynne and I on a night out) Vampira, I'm up for a trip to Derby!

Vampira, I'm up for a trip to Derby! Thanfully both of my maternal grandparents are from quite small and isolated towns and they have their share fair of ghost stories like grandpa who still believes in duendes (roughly translated as sprites) who protect the natures, grandma told me that when she was little she saw a The Stagecoach that carries animas (souls trapped in our world and/or purgatory) her aunt who is staying with us that says that Virgin Mary told her about entierros (burried treasures pacted with a dead person. So if you found the treasure you must leave wealth behind or the soul of the person who died will haunt you) among other things... So sad I threw accidentaly to the garbage my Paranormal Venezuela special edition newspaper issue

| Wow what an interesting place My dad has quite a few stories that he hasn't shared with me yet. I think they still creep him out. An I'm proud to say that my great uncle was a 'healer' and a lot of creepy stuff happened to him too. But anyways... One day when I go to the UK to visit my beloveds family, that is a place I must visit. | |

You know I'll be there if you get to the UK Andrew! It's one of my favourite places and just think of the stir we could cause by just floating around there in Victorian clothing!

| I've been wanting to visit Bray Road in Wisconsin, but if I don't find what I want, then I shall have to pay Derby a visit. | |
