I'm happy because i got my iPod touch yesterday
Tomorrow is the last day of work. Then I get 2 weeks off.
Unless the storm hits and makes tomorrow a snow day, then today is my last day.

I am happy though because I thought my little Yoshi was poorly but have since found out that he's getting ready to hibernate!
I had no idea that bearded dragons did that but all of his little symptoms fit and he's all tucked up in bed early tonight

I am starting to wonder if we are going to get any snow this Christmas or is it just going to be another wet one for us again this year.

I just had a very interesting phone conversation.

Earlier today I tried to call someone from the Food Not Bombs group in my parents city, to figure out when and where they meet so I could help out. He didn't answer, and me, being as shy as I am, opted to not leave a message.

A few minutes ago I got a photo message from a number I didn't recognize, saying "You called?" I thought it might be the guy from Food Not Bombs, so I called back.

As it turns out, he no longer runs the FNB group in my hometown, because he couldn't afford studio space in our area any more. So now he is living near Boston, working at an art museum and doing art on his own on the side, and apparently he goes to a lot of the gallery openings at my school. He's an artist, like me, and I think he may even be an alum from my school.

This was just cool all around, and *very* coincidental. I suppose I'll have to start looking for him at gallery openings now! XD

Right as I hit "send" on that last message, my cell phone started beeping to tell me that I had a new text message...


One of my friends is in labor right now! I'm going to be an auntie!!!! *dances with joy*

The poor mother though. She's probably screaming bloody murder and cussing at her fiance now...

So it looks like tomorrow I'm going to be braving the snowstorm and icy roads, and heading down to the hospital to see my friend and her baby.

Just finished three commissioned pieces of jewelry. Very happy with the way they turned out!

It helped to know the personalities of the recipients. A worker helping with construction next to where I work commissioned the pieces for his three nieces. One of them has a cartilage piercing, so I got to design earrings and a matching hoop for the 3rd piercing. And one of the other girls is an artist like me, so I designed a necklace with a toggle clasp shaped like a palette & paintbrush. And the third one just got a new drum kit, so I made her some beaded hoops -- they close at the back so they won't pop out while she's playing.

One of these days I'll post pics.

Everything is absolutely ready for Yule, the fridge and cupboards are groaning and it was a very beautiful Solstice this morning

Oh and I thought I had lost my bag but a lovely man that I had been chatting to had noticed it and came chasing after me. I suppose with it having a skull on it and being covered in Damned badges singled it out as being mine!

My mom just brought me in a brownie hot fudge sundae with extra cherries. Makes me very happy

I'm warm in my bed while it's freezing outside.
That makes me happy.
