This semester is going to be funn...

I've been working my butt off all weekend, and my work is nowhere near done. I managed to finish my reading, research, one essay, and about half of the study sketches I need to get done for a project. I still have an essay and about half of the drawing project to do for Wednesday and Thursday respectively. And said project is a 4' by 6' drawing...

Mind you this is only the work for three of my courses. I still have another two classes that aren't starting until this week.

I fear that next weekend will be even scarier than this weekend was...

Holy DD. THat is a lot of work to do.
My hair would have fallen out by now.

Today has been a really busy and crappy day for me so far. I had alot of interuptions this morning and wasn't able to focus on my primary assignment at work.

^^ That is irritating!

This machine is threatening to crash, so I'm logging off before my boss finds me goofing around online.

Work has pissed me off bigtime today. Not only have I been stuck on depressing divorce law but I cant get the time off that I wanted to go away to Whitby

I would have thought that my long service would have counted for something but obviously not.

I'm going to do my damnest to get the time off. Fortunately for the boss I'm only on two mugs of coffee a day otherwise I think I would have defenestrated him

I'll wear my hobble skirt, fishnets and witch shoes tomorrow and bring the big guns out

So was over my uncle's for dinner last night for my grandmother's birthday, and one of the topics of conversation was that down the road police had found that someone was keeping alligators in their basement. Two small ones, in a fish tank.

What it doesn't tell you is that he happens to live on a lake, the same one my uncle and grandparents live on. You'll notice that in the story it mentions "alligators can live up to 80 years, weigh 600 to 700 pounds and grow to about 13 feet."

Just what do you think he was going to do with them when they grew up?

That's right, he was gonna release them into the lake. Where a lot of kids spend their summers, along with all the ducks, geese, and swans. And let's not forget the fish hatchery if they happened to get through the dam.

Of course they would have died horribly when winter set in. But would have made for one hell of a spring and summer.

But, you know... he suffered a horrible $50 fine for having them.

I'm a little bummed I don't go to work tomorrow...
So I suffer a loss in hours.
Kinda glad too thought so...


It's 26 degrees outside, no snow but a craptastic load of ice.
Took 25 minutes to deice my car/windows...
Only to be unable to leave due to my car door not closing.
Like the little latch thing that goes up and down to lock it in place or something is frozen stiff.
I may try to put hot water on it later but...
It'll be too late to take my rentals back to Blockbuster.
And I was really looking forward to Super High Me, Pineapple Express, Supertroopers, Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle, Harold & Kumar Escape from GITMO, Half-Baked, and Rolling Kansas.

Edit: And now my pizza was canceled because of the weather... and will take 2-3 days to be charged back to my account.

I have a $2700 cell bill to pay off eventually.
It was in my mom's name because I used her credit card to make the payments (her permission of course) And because I haven't made a payment in 2 months because of Christmas and my poopie one week paychecks, they sent it to the collection agency.
So now my mom is getting bad credit because they weren't able to switch the account over to my name because the cell phone company is a bum.
She said that if I can pay off half by the end of the week then the rest by mid-February, her name would be cleared.
I was like lady. It will take me over 2 months to make that money.
Plus I have groceries and other personal things I need.
So I guess I won't be shopping for a while
And what's with them charging me when I haven't used my cell since June because they suspended my services until the amount was paid off??
That was an extra $700 for nothing. Plus $200 for canceling my contract.

Sweet Raptor Jesus, $2700? What do you do, call people and leave it running connected 24/7?

I'd disown your a$$ for runnin' up a 2k cell phone bill in my name.

The $700 is probably late fees that have accrused over the last 7 months.

You might try calling their billing department... given the rough times they might work out a deal with you to waive or lessen the late fees at least. It'd be better to them than getting nothing at all. I have to call the consort's CC company some time to negotiate with them. She only owes them like $200 but there's something like $1k in late fees or some such ridiculousness.

It's worth a shot for you to try, anyway.

The fact that there can be $1k worth of anything worth browsing on a mobile phone makes me die a little inside.

Hey Moon, who are you with for your service? I still need to switch companies (can't do it this month b/c my $ is drying up) and I'm trying to work out which provider will screw me the least. Granted, that's probably an exercise in futility, kind of like me trying to get decent service from Alltel.

Well when they charge .5 cents a KB and every page is about 40KB and up....the money flies up there. Now I have unlimited browsing on my cell but I have wifi on my iPod so i won't be using the phone for browsing.
I was on Rogers. It's a Canadian cell company so you don't have to worry about them
I currently use Bell Mobility.
But I think Americans have different companies than Canadians so I can't help you there

There's no heat or hot water!!!! I stink and I want to take a shower but the water's damn near freezing.

You have no heat at all ? The no hot water, you could heat some up on the stove, not too hot though and take a "bird" bath. Pour it into the sink. That would be better than nothing. I bet you don't stink though.

Hey do you have a friend close enough you could just go use their shower and spend the night there?

^^It was awful! Thank God the damn heat and hot water came back. I was ready to do the "bird bath".

As soon as the hot water came back I ran to the shower. Now I'm scrubbed, sanitized and disinfected...and sporting my fabulous Turbie-Twist. LOL

I can't imagine.
I need hot water. That's how I take my baths in the winter because my bathroom is not insulated so it's freezing in there. Because it's freezing I take too long in the tub because it's too cold to get out hahah.

So, last night, I had this dream. Not just once, but I woke up, got a drink, went back to sleep, and had a very similar one again, which just never happens.

In it, I felt really old, and like I was dying, and that I was only staying alive simply because I wasn't about to have any of that death nonsense. A big part of the reason I felt like I was dying was because I could hardly breathe and saying anything was nigh impossible. I pondered it a bit when I woke up for the day since it strangely recurring like that in the same night was odd. Couldn't find any immediate relation to it, so I put it in the back of my head and went on with my day.

So I go about my business, and about mid day, Heather calls me. We have a little chit chat, and then she gets on to what she's really calling about.

My daughter has Asthma. And apparently the kind that regular inhalers are useless for. She needs to have some sort of machine super-inhaler or some such. She wasn't terribly descriptive on the details.

So... yeah. That explains that.

Sorry to hear your daughter has such an intense case of asthma, Madelchai.
Perhaps, over time with treatments, she will be able to just use a regular inhaler.

Diva I'm glad your heat came back on.

Aw Madelchai, that's very special to have such a connection with your daughter. We'll all be thinking of her and hopfully it will turn out that she won't need to use that machine. If she's around people that smoke it might help if they stopped.

It snowed earlier today, and now it's raining. There's slush and large puddles everywhere outside and it's very hard to walk around.
