| ^^ I really, really loved playing GTA I've loved the whole series so far and this was by far the best game of the year for me. I was playing on it for hours on end, never wanting it to finish it. Plus me, my bro and my BF were all having a competition to see who would finish it first of course my brother won then it was me and lastly my BF haha.

Whats not to love about the PS3? Its FREE internet, you get some FREE downloads on themes, extra's for games, trailers, demos and much more. With the 360 you have to pay for using Xbox live and you have to buy points to download extras, and films etc. But with the films its just like renting a DVD accept you dont have to get off you bum to walk to your local rental shop.
Graphics are better with a HD TV for the PS3 but they still look fine without one just not as smooth. Plus you've got the Blu-ray thing as well - which I dont bother using, just use a DVD not THAT much of a difference.
OK, you cannot get Gears of War 2 or Halo 3 for the PS3 but you can get many other games like Resistance 2 (cannot wait for that!), Sing Star, Buzz and Killzone 2.
Its totally down to you but I just LOVE my PS3
Plus I forgot to mention that you can play old PS1 and PS2 games plus you can download old PS2 games for cheap if you dont have the disc.

| *Ponders hijacking the thread again* Just buy every console you can get your hands on and hold onto them so you never have to stop playing all your old lovable games! I did . And I never did pay for my xbox 360 account, just always started up a new one if I ever wanted anything, I normally just stick around the 'free' section for themes and downloads for the thing. Most of the trailers are free for a short period of time, along with demos etc. But will quickly start costing points. It's M$, what do you expect? You can download a lot of your old favourite games and play them via the 360 now too. |

| So then every new gen console has the ability to download the older games? Like d/l Xbox games on the 360? PS1/2 on the PS3? Nintendo/SNES/Genesis/etc for the Wii? Or how exactly does that work? I will admit, I'm now leaning towards the PS3 more heavily due to its backwards capabilities and the previous generations having more games of interest than that of the Xbox... though it still feels like the 360 has the best options available for everything not-just-gaming related... May just have to go in this order: PS3 > Xbox 360 > Wii > PSP> DS > GBA/GBC Yknow, I kinda wish they'd all just merge together to form the single, ultimate console gaming system. It'd totally be worth $1200+ and if they had a layaway plan they'd have a much larger sales success rate in addition to being able to meet the supply/demand needs. Of course... I'm sure there's at least one individual in this world who has found a way to merge the 360, ps3, and wii together on his own time & money... lol. |

| Eventually they will. In the mean time it's money for everyone by refusing to design the SINGLE console. |

| I have. And I played on it too. It was amazing, graphics were outstanding, the audio was great, never a clipping pixel to be found...But then I woke up. |

| I think I remember someone making a high powered super computer by combining like 3-10 PS3s... dunno what one would do with all that power but... damn... the possibilities are endless. |

| So... the Xbox 360 won out on my own personal console war... for now. Originally it was just a temporary buy since I'm getting it through Rent-A-Center. I'd rent this for now and once a PS3 became available I'd transfer my payment history and everything to it. But... last night I got to thinking... "I'll already have the Xbox 360 and will be getting used to it.. plus the PS3 wont be available until, more than likely, after Christmas so..." it makes sense just to keep it and wait until the PS3 becomes cheaper within the next year or two. Only down side was Rent-A-Center only has the Arcade version so... eventually I'll have to get the specific Xbox Hard Drisk Drive. All that said... for everyone who does have an Xbox 360 already... What all do I absolutely NEED to know about the Xbox 360 for a first time user to the system (and no regular xbox experience)? Should I wait to activate my one month Silver Xbox Live account until after I get the hard drive? What's the difference between Silver and Gold accounts? Once I get a hard drive, how the heck do I configure it to allow me to play Regular Xbox games? Can I download full games to the hard drive? Will I be able to save games directly to the hard drive or will I still need a memory card? Anything else? |

I think that does it automatically. - RavenwindX wrote:

Yes directly, if you want more memory get a bigger hard drive.
I would try the Xbox 360 forums to get proper full answers, I've only answered the things my brother tells me... http://forums.xbox.com/

| lol, it's only logical... While PS3 is AMAZING... Xbox 360 is just as so having been out more it's cheaper and has more games. I believe they either have or is making a blu-ray component for the 360 as well. Sure, I WANT a ps3 but... for now... cheaper = good. And I love my "Dynasty Warriors: Gundam" game. Sure it's also on PS3 but... was cheaper on Xbox 360. lol Hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine angel. I'll see you on Live one day. |

| Oh wow, that looks amazing. I hope they wont have some lame "pay for credits" just so you can customize your avatar. Unfortunately, my computers can't handle Second Life but the PS3 shouldn't have this problem (well... considering it's made for PS3... I'd hope not.) Then the added bonus of by the time I'll actually have a PS3 all the bugs should be ironed out... Sweetness. |
