| Probably no more than the typical ear piercing. I guess it would also depend on how far up on the septum one gets. | |

Actually, yes, it hurt terribly and I became so nauseated I had to lie down in the room for 10 minutes. I guess I have serious vagal response issues! However, so far, this has been a pretty painless healing time (as long as I don't bump it!). | |

| I have always had problems with piercings due to a pretty bad nickel allergy. I can't even wear anything in my earlobes and they've been pierced over and over. The right one won't stay open. I've had a double eyebrow piercing before but it wouldn't heal and I had to take it out for a job anyway. I decided to test my luck with titanium jewelry, and got my eyebrow done on wednesday. Please excuse the blurry pic and my unkemptness https://2img.net/h/i16.photobucket.com/albums/b28/albinasamara/018.gifIt hasn't given me any problem so far. It's like it's not even there...which is a relief. So we'll keep our fingers crossed eh? I really want my nipples done too but my breasts are too large :-( | |

| Wow I love it albinasamara !!!! Did it hurt? OH and I have a rather large chest also and have a nipple piercing. If you really want to get it done I would suggest that while it is healing you place a rather large bandaid over the piercing it helps with the rubbing and keeps it from being too sensitive while it heals. | |

| Morwenna, does that plug have nightmare before christmas on it? I'd love to have that many holes in my ears, I've had as much as 4. I, it's not so much my breasts themselves as it is my nipples are somewhat inverted. Which is in part from them being so large and heavy....it stretches the areola and nipple out. The piercer said to try using the nipple everters that new mothers use. But also I would have to special order titanium jewelry and that costs a lot. If it wasn't for that I would have done it by now! lol I hope that wasn't TMI for you guys...to me it's just anatomy | |

| The plug isn't nightmare before christmas, but the design is so similar I bought them because it looks like they are. I'm planning on getting holes all the way up to the tops of my ears. I also want an eyebrow ring and possibly my nose. I love getting pierced! | |

| Does anyone have a lip or nose peircing? I want to get one or the other done and I have no clue. I'm terrified of needles, so I wanted to know if anyone here has had one and their experience with it. Don't want to get it done and then hate it. | |

| I have my lip done. The piercer didn't use a clamp either and it really didn't hurt that bad. The healing process hurts a bit though, but it's not unbearable. | |

| Good to know. I can tolerate some pain but not a whole lot. How do you like it? I don't want to get it and hate it lol. When can you start taking it out without having the hole closed up? I'm going into the journalism business and a lip ring is unprofessional. | |

| I love my labret, it was annoying at first but now I mostly ignore it. I've never taken mine out for more than an hour, but I'd say after 6 months it's pretty much healed so it won't close up. You will still be able to see the hole without the jewelry in it though. | |

| I've had a monroe. I really loved it and it didn't hurt that much, but I developed a keloid that looked very disgusting so I had to take it out. I've had my nose done 3 times (4 now with my septum) and I think its the most painful one I've had. But its cool, the pain doesn't last long, but your cute piercing does! | |

| I've had the nose done and that's just a breeze. You just have to take really good care of it and all. Besides, like Morwenna said, just need to have it in for some 6 months and after that, you can take it in and out whenever you want .....no homo | |

| Angel, the nose ring is really quick, and only hurts for a second at most. Your eye will water and you may feel like you want to sneeze, but aside from that you'll be done and over with in no time.
The Lip piercings are also simple and quick, and again, almost painless.
If you want to know about any other piercings let me know, I've been doing them for over six years out of a couple of shops. |

| Welcome. And as for being able to take it out for periods of time, I'd give it at least a few weeks before you take it out, and even then it will be quite tender trying to put back in, if you can get the right angle on it, assuming you're using a nose screw, and not a straight 'nose bone'.
If you are going to take it out, do it slowly, and try putting it back in after ten minutes and see how hard it is, and how tender, and figure you'll have to do that the whole time while it's healing. The tenderness does go away, but it takes longer when you're constantly removing and replacing the piercing to heal, so be aware of what you're in for. |
