| I went with my friends went to the Shiseido warehouse sale yesterday in New Jersey. We had to get there at 6 am to get our wristbands for admission...though our numbers weren't called until 5:40 pm. We didn't wait around the whole time, though...we did a lot of shopping at the nearby shopping centers, had lunch, did some more shopping, etc. Anyway, We got back to the Shiseido warehouse just before our numbers were called. Not only did they have Shiseido stuff, but they had Nars cosmetics, Clé de Peau cosmetics, Jean-Paul Gaultier fragrances and more. And everything was dirt cheap! Eyeshadows that retail for $25 were only $7 at this event. Gift sets that retail for $100 or more were only $20! Full size testers were only $1 or $3. And everyone who shopped got a bag full of free samples and other goodies! I was a little embarrassed though...I only bought $13 worth of stuff. I didn't really need anymore makeup or skincare products ( I have a ridiculously huge collection already). My friends walked out with with at least $150 worth of stuff each. Most of the other shoppers there were resellers and they were walking out with boxes and boxes of stuff to sell at their stores, beauty salons or on ebay. All in all I had a fun day with the girls. | |

| ^^ Sounds like a blast! Even with $13 worth of stuff, you still made out like a bandit! And you had your friends with you. I'm sure that made it fun. | |

All in all I had a fun day with the girls. Sounds divine! Hubby and I went to a few rummage sales (I was lucky enough to snag a pink, lace 1940's vintage dress!) and then hit some communitywide yard sales and came home with our truck filled with loads of goodies!

| This goes under awesome in my book.... B had me come over to where he worked and we just sat there the rest of his shift and talked about religion and how they're all connected and I also had him read a paper that was so terrible that it was epic.
Considering I live in an overly conservative state where the only talk about religion is usually "god dah-dah this" and "god da-dah that"... it was pretty awesome. |

| I went to a ranch for a week; saw herons, capybaras, anacondas and piranhas (and even fished alligators using piranhas as bait, can you think a more awesome sport than that?) | |

| Moving into that new condo, which is why I haven't been about recently. I'm pretty busy, but it's very awesome, and I'll be back soon to discuss all kinds of silliness. Today we pack up the truck. | |

| My husband, his family and I saw "Young Frankenstein" live at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in D.C. It was so much fun! Even bawdier than the movie. The actors did an excellent job with it, and the costumes were just sumptuous. | |

Are they as cute in real life as they are in images? They surely are, especially when they wiggle their eyes. And baby capybaras are identical to their parents, so it's like seeing a pocket capybara!

| Wow, fishing for aligators with Pirahnas?! Cool!
As for me, I finally did something I've always wanted to do. I bought a box of christmas ornaments on clearance yesterday, took them home, and threw them at the fence behind my house. They popped and glittered as they shattered. It was awesome.

| So I was detained in France and held for 18 hours with a few other performers of suspicion of terrorist activities and some other charges. I attempted with all my power to obtain all the paperwork and credentials to permit myself and other with us to move from America to England to France with supplies for my live body painting work, pyro-performances and my and two others' suspension performances.
I didn't.
Came up very quickly and I didn't have access to the Internet due to recently moving, so I would have let all my England pals on here know I was on your island. Figured I would have gotten a chance to hit up the website once there, but it was whirlwind. People we stayed with not having internet, then me searching for the site and not being able to find the damn thing. I even Googled "Helen Damnation Endless Goth" and it took me took a bookstore online. Very frustrating that I forgot the 013 part of the domain name.
Bought some awesome new docs in England, that went about $44 a pair after exchange rate, and partied at Electric Ballroom in London on Friday. Is the term "pull a bird" from Aussie-land still applicable? I bought a retarded amount of shots by the way.
So we made our way further south crashing at performers flats and traveling till we got to Dover. Lord Nelson b*tches! I called what I'm guessing to be Chavs "Red Coats" at about 3 am, which actually made everybody laugh. Dance off in the streets with some chick, jury is still out on that one.
My claustrophobia would never allow me to take the Channel Tunnel, f*ck that, so I took a ferry with two others to Calais, France. The French were not pleased with our gear, and took some of it and made some official reports taking a ton of info from us like where we were staying and such. My French was is good, but not that good, and I had trouble conveying completely what we were doing. They let us go after a little bit but one officer informed us that there is some group of sh*thead gothy kids that are responsible for some religious and political trouble. He also informed us that they contacted Parisian police to all of our information and that they'd be keeping their eye on us.
So we took two trains to Paris and met up with my main man Moses, who received a phone call from the police that day asking him about how long he was planning to have the American and English "artists" at his home. I guess just making sure what we told the police and what he would say would check out.
Ok anywho I went to the Bloody Bat in Paris, which was all kinds of awesome, and then the following night to a far more private invite-only party. Suspension was a go and fun and enlightenment was had by all.
Well the fun ended when the security at the Paris airport were unhappy with our equipment and didn't care about our paperwork. Then once they found out I was held in Japan while on tour working for Nothing Records in Japan nine year ago, and we were done. They contacted Japan supposedly, and found out I was detained and interrogated for 22 hours for suspicion of involvement with a religious cult and possession of illegal substances over there. I see a pattern growing, obviously I look like a cult member hell bent on the destruction of vacation destinations. I was pretty out-of it when the third investigator asked me what I was, and I replied; "Je suis une fleur delicate", so that guy wasn't too friendly with yours truly after that. My friend also said they cheat at Soccer which received a slap. They f*cked our stuff up too, including my digital camera which is probably still lodged in the sole of some secret police officer's shoes, and I think they thought our suspension apparatus was some type of WMD.
Fast forward to the following afternoon, an American official and notice from Japan that I was in fact clear from any charges of terrorism; and we're bought lunch by Inspector Bigler and driven to the airport, sans some of our equipment which will not be allowed back across the Atlantic. I'll be paying for mail charges I guess, and can add another day to my list of "hours spent detained by foreign governments". Bigler asked me if we were planning on coming back to France, and I said; "Oui, chacun est si agreable".
Handshake later and I was being patted down by security before getting on a plane back to the good ol' socialist USA.
Vive Liberte

| A friend of mine and I returned to our roots and attended the Brooksville Raid Civil War Re-enactment this past weekend.
We went in full dress (historically accurate clothing ) and had the best time.
We all (she and her husband and mine and I ) used to do it all the time and she and I both even owned stores called "sutleries" - they traveled with soldiers and carried anything from guns to black powder to hard tack, etc - but in the real world they often carry period clothes, shoes, etc for men, women and children - but when my writing took off, I had to do conventions rather than re-enactments.
I sold out of almost all I had, sold my tent and closed the sutlery and have regretted it ever since.
I miss it terribly and it was nice to go back and see everyone.

| Held a gothic/industrial/darkwave room party at RadCon (local sci-fi/fantasy/freak convention). The other 2 goths in my area really appreciated it! I used to think they were really snobby but after talking to them and dancing with them they are pretty cool and nice, and they gave me a copy of an Asp CD. (Weltunter)
I bet that happens a lot with the snobbiness though. Maybe they thought I was snobby. Us goths do tend to give off that vibe to people we don't know.
(only kidding about there being only 2 other goths...I'm sure there are more)

| ^^ I was wondering about the party! Glad it was a success.
Yeah, the snobby-goth issue was the reason why I couldn't make any goth friends early on. Nice one minute, nasty the next. I never knew what line I was crossing. But I like to think they were pretty cool beneath the surface, like the ones you met. (And like the ones here, only we're cool on the outside as well.)

| It was a great time. I had to run the DJ "booth" (really just a table set up in the corner of the room) on Saturday night and that was really fun. I liked being in control, lol. The goth couple were really cool, the guy danced most of the time and the girl had blisters on her feet, poor thing! But she wanted to keep dancing! I told them I will do it again next year, which I have every intention of doing. | |

| No one here would put this as a really cool/awesome thing ive done recently.
But I spent my weekend sleeping over at my future in-laws house where I could finally be a proper Muslim and appreciate my religion a whole lot more. Inshallah I cannot wait to be able to move there, they are such wonderful people who would do a lot for me. Something ive never had much off of my own parents. My fiancĂ©’s mum called me her daughter for the first time aww hehe.

| ^^ Accepted from the get go! All things started to happen in December and seen his family three times now, and they've accepted me and are really happy that ive found such peace and spirituality in Islam so thats a bonus; plus makes things alot more easier for us in the long run. Im just finally happy that everything is falling into place after us being together for over 8 years and we can start being a proper couple.
