2009 Might Just Be The Year For All Of Us...

That's very interesting. There is something about the number 9 that just seems positive.

I don't know what it is, but I too have the feeling that 2009's going to be the year for everyone. This year was just crappy for many and i'm really hoping that everyone here has a great start to the new year.

I guess that is true for me; I'm starting off the new year by going to college. Fresh start and all. I think it'll be a great year for everyone, though

I'll be so glad to see '08 come to an end. And I definitely want to believe in the promise of '09. It's great to mark a turning point by which we can bring about some good changes. Happy 2009!

It could be 2023 and it'd suck just as much if not worse than 2008 and any year prior to it. People are flawed, and until we all suck less (much less) we're going to have the same, similar, or worse problems from year to year & decade to decade.
No amount of "magic" can save us from ourselves on the larger scale/bigger picture... we can only hope and make an effort to ensure whatever individual moments of happiness are made are worth enduring this Hell of a lifetime.

Despite this, I do wish you all the best of luck and good fortune just the same.

Well, not to be Debbie Downer, but it's not really 2009.

This whole Julian Calender we use with 364 & 1/4 days, was restarted by The Roman Church to signify their supposed belief of Jesus being the one true God. Yet we've had at least 23 of these magical virgin births worshiped by as many religions for the last 7000 years. All of these magical virgin birthed men were freedom fighters and prophets, who had cool nicknames like "The Light" or "King of Kings". They all were scarified or martyred as well, mostly to bring about peace and enlightenment (let me know when that gets here). So in all likelihood, there was no Jesus, and no real reason to restart the calender...again...again.

It's kind of like, how the Gothic Beauty board was shut down, and then Endless created this bastion of awesome. Now if someone told you my 507th post was going to change your life....well you missed it. Because most of you have read about 1000 of my posts already, when all considered.

It's more like the year 4,509,073,657.

So I hope this year is way better then 4,509,073,656.

Because last year sucked for me: love of my life left me, three friends died, relapsed, cancer scare, etc, etc. If this year has a third of this...
