| [quote="albinasamara"]I use Urban Decay's Primer Potion on my eyes...It's the only stuff that works on me for more than 4 hours. Some of the other primers only do the job for a few hours. My eyelids are so yucky oily....
That stuff is fantastic! I use it all the time.
Also, I used to brush my lips while I brushed my teeth but I learned how to make a suger and honey exfoliant that tasted a lot better!
If someone already mentioned these tips I am sorry to repeat!
Also if you are going to spray your eyebrows in place dont use a think extra super hold spray b/c it flakes white.
Also I noticed that you cant apply a lot of mineral makeup. Sometimes it creases in certain areas. My mother uses bare minerals and sometimes it cakes in the wrinkles. I also noticed it on my friend's smile line.
Its ok to wear blush sometimes. I used a dark brown shade that creates definition in my cheek bones.
Invest in a good set of brushes.
Dot white shadow in the inner tip of your eye to open them up.

| I have finally started to shave my eyebrows and drawing them on (I've should have done this a long time ago), so what tips are there for the actual shaving? | |

| ^YYYYYeeeeessss another one~! (Aren't you in love? )... As far as shaving goes... just the normal deal, really. Lather well, use a sharp, new blade when you can... I suggest doing one stroke going with the direction of growth, and then very gently go in the opposite direction. Be careful when you are above the arch... that is more curved, and so easier to cut yourself. Which I've done before... not fun. (Good for you~! Weeee!) |

| This may not have been a good idea, but last night I drew on the eyebrows and used hair spray to see if they will last through sleeping. I was able to head out the door real quickly today because I had already drawn them on and all I had to do was to retrace them. | |

| ^Yeah, I never use the hairspray trick, only because my skin is so hyper-sensitive, and I break out very easily. I usually just apply my foundation, set it with translucent powder, draw them lightly in kohl pencil, and then go over with a fine-tipped liquid eyeliner pen. (Seems like a lot, but it really is the easiest part of my routine). But if the hairspray trick works well for you, and you see no reaction... have at it!

| Definitely! Was it you who commented on Urban Decay Primer Potion? I've been using it, and it does make my shadow look freshly-applied all day. The stuff's like a magnet! | |

| Well since I got my eyebrow pierced a year ago, I haven't really drawn my brows on so I've had them natural. But even when I do my makeup and fill them in, the barbell makes a little bump and it's hard to draw it smoothly. What's worse is the piercing sits a bit low on the brow line so when I draw them, the line sits almost on the hole where the top of the barbell comes out. I recently shaved my brows again and had this problem.
Could I draw it above the piercing? I have to wear a retainer for my new job anyway...I'm not sure what to do. I don't really want to take the piercing out but I am thinking of maybe doing that and having it pierced higher, but again I'm not sure if there would be enough skin to pierce. Argh!

| For a more professionally applied look, contour the eyes before applying eyeshadow, it makes all the difference, instead of " coloring your eyes like a coloring book" as my teacher puts it | |

| A nailcolor tip I learned years ago: I was talking with an employee at Trade Secret and choosing some polish. She mentioned that it doesn't really matter how high-quality the polish itself is, as long as you have a good-quality topcoat over it. So with, say, Wet n Wild on the bottom and OPI on top, you can still have a manicure that stays shiny and lasts pretty well. Not sure if this is always true, but it works for me.
I don't think she was trying to upsell me; thanks to her tip I just wound up buying a topcoat instead of a topcoat and a couple of polishes.
