Today's installment of My Husband Has Lost His Mind:

G: I want to get door mats for the car.
me: You have floor mats already.
G: No, door mats.
me: ......
G: So we can wipe our feet before getting in the car.
me: .... but... it's an uncovered driveway. They'll get covered in the same dampness and debris that we're trying to wipe off our feet.
G, with snark: Um, doormats will be fine outside. That's where they live, you know.

I am confused by that as well. Doormats made me think of padding inside the car door that you'd rub your shoes on before stepping on the floor mat. Then why have floor mats?

Not sure, something tells me that necrophiliacs like the fact that the dead don't move around so much, or, at all. All that trying to avoid you (living) or trying to eat you (living dead); just seems like too much moving around for the necro's of the world.

There would be some upsides though right, both dead girls and living-dead girls probably don't care if you get it on their hair.

No, the problem is not with you there, Ginger. It's with whoever posted the quote. Many, probably and sadly most, people are uncomfortable and guilt-ridden when it comes to discussing anything about sex or sexuality in general. And I'd say someone who was raised under "Christian" tenets (big ol' quotes there to accommodate the transfer of pro-control, un-Christian belief onto the actual teachings of Jesus -- let's gloss over that whole befriending-a-prostitute thing, I guess) is not going to be able to let go of the old teachings too easily. So sad that she's a woman, too.

I should know better than to go on a two hour boat ride without any sunblock. My arms are RED!!! It's a good thing I always make sunblock a major part or my morning makeup and facial skin care routine. Sheesh!

If an actor is openly gay, does that make him or her typecasted as a gay character? I know Neil Patrick Harris is openly gay and can play a heterosexual role, but is he the norm?

I feel bad about using school as an excuse to get out of social commitments but I would really rather stay home tonight and play with Martha Stewart craft clay than go out to dinner with those bozos.

This actually got me thinking, have you guys been noticing that many folks in their teens, 20s and early 30s don't have hobbies or interests? My friends for example, their only pastimes are "going out" and watching TV. They don't really "do" anything.

^I feel kinda bad for people who don't have hobbies or real interests. :/ Going out is fun once in a while, and living you're life behind a t.v. can get boring quick.

I wish I didn't tan as easily as I do.

Am I the only one who thinks this would be awesome: make a spider web crochet wedding veil where the middle is at the top of the head and it progressively gets longer and longer spokes until it hits the ground.

I hate allowing someone to tag along with you somewhere just so you don't hurt their feelings. I can't even make up a decent excuse to get out of it.

Really, mom, I don't need to see my cousin. I'm sorry I don't share your same level of enthusiasm about cousin Millie coming to visit you...er..."us" this week. I was really looking forward to floundering about the house tomorrow in the air conditioning, plus I still need to pack my stuff for my trip to Minneapolis.

But I guess going with my cousin to Coney Island beach tomorrow means I'll be done with my familial obligations and can focus the rest of my week on stuff I really need to do before my flight on Sunday.

Nothing against Millie, really. Just a bad week for me.
