It is official. I am in love....with mystic topaz; it is like a portrait of the universe etched on stone. I just bought a loose stone to replace a cubic zirconia one on one of my rings.

^^^I learned the same thing about myself when I worked at a jewellery kiosk. I think it would go best with a Tungsten band with maybe a white gold inlay to keep the stone in place.

I am amazed at how people catapult to fame and fortune by posting silly videos on YouTube and the like. The local news just profiled Michelle Phan who started posting makeup tutorials on youtube and is now a make up artist for Lancome. News said she's a millionaire now. Really? Just from posting makeup tutorials? That's crazy...and stupid. Rolling Eyes

It's sad how people can become famous by doing stupid things instead of for talent or from a major contribution.

Debating with my brother on facebook about guns. He said one of the reasons they need so many guns is to keep the government in check and to make other countries fear the thought of invading the US.

I told him that if he started to wear the tin foil hats too that I'd call the psych ward. I don't think he liked that much.

Lady at Sephora who color matched me for foundation picked out a color that was too dark for me. Took me too long to realize it, though. Thought it was my uncooperative skin all along, but no, it's the foundation. Lighter colors look less "heavy" on my skin. Ugh.

Not the first time either. For some reason makeup "artists" like to go a shade or two darker on me. I am not a "medium" and i don't like the "bronzed" look either, damnit!

Last time I'll ask someone at Sephora for help picking out a color.

I hope the east coast peoples are ready for winter because its coming. I just ran into the storm headed your way on my way home and its nasty, its been snowing about an hour and theres already a foot of thick white stuff on the ground and the fat flakes keep falling fast
