I too a completely outraged by the events of the past week and a half. I'm not leaving though. But I am almost ashamed to be an American, given how completely screwed up our justice system and race relations are.

Got my performance appraisal on Friday and although it was great overall, I got dinged for being an introvert. Boss (who is leaving, by the way) said that I was "timid" and "shy" because I didn't speak up at meetings and did not ask for help from my supervisors when needed. She said that my keeping to myself was keeping me from moving ahead in my field. First, I'm a doer, not a talker. Secondly I do ask for help when I need it. I might not as for help as much as my peers, mostly because I am self-sufficient and am able to handle crises on my own. Besides, there have been many times when I'v sought out help and none of the supervisors were available. Maybe I'm too polite? Maybe I'm too polite and well mannered and they want me to be a loud mouthed boor like everyone else? Another thing, if my introversion was such a problem, why didn't they say anything before?

I did tell my boss that I disagreed with her assessment. I told her I didn't need to visit her office every five minutes like everybody else because I'm actually getting things done. She gave the appraisal and asked me to write my own comments. I plan to write a well reasoned rebuttal tonight and submit it to her tomorrow.

I wish the scientists would hurry up and perfect the technology that would allow me to bitchslap people though the computer screen.

I really should have made a complaint with HR a long back as soon as it became painful to walk up and down stairs only because one coworker refuses to do anything remotely resembling work. This is not the military nor is it the police, so there is absolutely no justification for chronic pain set on by a job.

I really need a good neck and shoulder massage.

can't we get a james bond villain to send a giant drill, containing a bomb and made out of some bullsh*t alloy that can withstand the magma and forces at the center of the earth, to the core to blow it up? the a$$ end of this years REALLLY making me lose more and more faith in humanity as a whole, shits not getting any better either and no ones... ah f**k it, no one cares

Give humanity some time; we are going to eradicate ourselves in due time soon.

Legs still hurt. It's because I tend to bounce/jog/prance/pace on the front part of my foot instead of the whole thing. Pain gets better and goes away if I take longer strides and use my whole foot, but I rarely have the room to do that.

Oh yeah, and I'm broke and the factory I work at is closed down until January 5th for the holidays. Meaning I don't get a large paycheck one week and none the next. I have to talk to my university to see if I can put off one of my tuition payments now. No other way around it.

You know what is dickish behavior that I find annoying: when someone ignores you whenever you send them a "how's it going text" but feign friendliness whenever you are around (and you know that they are responding to texts from other people). If they are going to ignore me when it is convenient, then I'm going to completely ignore them unless it purely business related.

this is the only part that saves it, if you know whether or not they reply to other texts is the important part. I reply to none.

Will's car is dying, which means we might be a one-car household pretty soon. I'm really glad that we'll have at least one car, but still... I'm not exactly looking forward to being Will's chauffeur. I have my own life and my own schedule, and don't want to be tied down by his schedule and his transportation needs.

Mine: Boo! No internet at home! I get to walk to the library because I don't want to drive there XD

Thinking of alternative modes of transportation, I have a bicycle I can lend him. We're only a few miles away from his school. I'd still have to drive him when the weather is bad, or when he needs to do errands.

As for an electric scooter, they aren't really that much money, but it's still more than we can afford right now.

1.  Being laid off from work.  Company lost almost $20 million and may file for bankruptcy.  I have 90 days to find a new job.

2.  Been keeping in touch with an old coworker who texts me every so often to see how I'm doing.  Recently he suggested we get together to catch up and I didn't see anything wrong with two former colleagues meeting for what I thought would be a casual lunch in the city to chit chat.  Anywho, today he texted me to finalize plans for next week...he booked a hotel suite!  WHAT?!   He thought I was going to sleep with him!   Made it clear to him that I was not interested in that.  All this time I thought we were just buddies.

We live in the same city! And the fact that he thought I could be so easily had is disturbing! I'm staying as far away from this fool as possible.

I should say this while I have a computer because I never know if or when I'm gonna get F*CKED... If I don't get a pretty big break soon, and for some reason the government decide to cut more money out of my a$$... I could be f**ked in a very real, very hard way...

C.) Take a shovel full and leave it in a single big pile in the middle of the walkway. sh*t's magic, yo.
D.) Take a shovel full and distribute it evenly along the walkway, repeating as is necessary for full coverage of said walkway.
E.) Take a shovel full and leave small piles strategically placed at the end, middle, and beginning of the walkway. sh*t's slightly less magic, yo.
F.) Knock the tub of ice melt over in the hallway, your job is done.

If you're over 60, come plowing into a parking lot only to slam on the brakes inches before hitting 3 cars including mine, and can't get through the rest of the parking lot without a look of sheer terror and confusion on your face, your license should be immediately revoked.

And duely ticketed; none of this "sympathy for an old dude" sh*t, especially since it would mean that the owners of the cars that were damaged would not be able to get insurance to pay out on the repairs.
