thought for the day... just renewed for another year, time to keep trying find a way to either get new people to find this place, or bring old people back or more preferably do both...

so, kind of been neglecting shaving for a while, kind of wanted to see how I'd look if I went full beardo. It didn't work, I had to shave finally so I shave off all the beardy stuff and I'm back to my normal facial décor... Now things get "interesting", Since I haven't shaved in about 2 months and now I'm sans face carpet I notice my stach is pretty shaggy. Naturally this means I have to clean it up, problem with this is its currently 2am which means while I'm shortening the length and attempting to even up the sides I eventually end up with a toothbrush (for those that don't know, its the Charlie Chaplin, or Hitler stash) so I had to shave my stach off fully... feels weird, my lip is cold...

I have a feeling that the constant threat of being chosen for a random drug test actually makes the workforce sicker because there are so many over the counter drugs that will show up on a urinalysis. I have fretted over taking simple pain killers and nasal decongestants because they will show up as a false positive for an illegal narcotic, and my workplace's policy is to fire immediately on the spot if there is any positive.

Um, I don't think that's how drug tests work. You might want to research them a little more.

Being between jobs sucks. I have plenty of free time, but I'm finding it hard to get motivated to do much of anything (beyond working on job applications...)

Um, I don't think that's how drug tests work.  You might want to research them a little more.  

I have looked up what otc drugs can show a false positive--two of the most common are psuedoeffedrin and ibuprofen. There is a story of a nurse that was fired for having urinalysis indicating the presence of opioids because she ate a poppy seed bagel.

^^^Drug tests are getting more and more advanced though. They're getting to the point where they can tell the difference.

I think that the probability comes closer to one that a person really needs to fart hard the longer someone is shadowing another.

As soon as I realized that one of my coworkers looks strikingly like Kristoff from Frozen, I now have a desire to obtain of the Kristoff dolls (the higher quality Disney version) and repaint the face to look more like my coworker, but I feel like a total creep doing so even though I will more than likely just store it away once I'm done. I guess me having a bit of a crush on the coworker exacerbates the creepiness.

Can't tell if crushing badly or if my stomach actually aching.

My mum wanted me to leave at 6 in the morning to sleep at my sister's house due to impending freezing rain that would prevent me from going into work. Even if I had stayed with my sister, I would still have been unable to go to work and thus stuck at my sister's.

Had a hair brained idea of visiting New York City (and maybe trying to drag a friend or two along).  Wanted to do the cheapest route possible that would also allow me to spend time in Chicago... Looked at Megabus.  The tickets, roundtrip from Chicago to NYC, are $30... but the bus ride one way is 17 hours and 15 minutes D: The 8 hours it took to get from Omaha to Chicago on that bus was long enough... but 17?!

Cheapest flights are about $381... :/

what about Amtrak? it's still going to be long compared to flying but at least unlike the bus you can move around.
