| I thought it would be nice if there was a thread where people could just post all their questions concerning fashion, hair, makeup, etc.
I've been wondering-- and I'm aware that this is probably a stupid question-- does lip sealer make any lipstick that the wearer applies long-lasting?

| Good idea for a thread, SweetVervain. No such thing as a stupid question here! | |

Oily, dry..etc. I'd be willing to pay up to maybe 14 dollars, and it although it would be more convenient for the product to be located in a drugstore or department store, I wouldn't disregard it if it could be bought on online. I consider my skin to be a little oily--I am a teenager, of course!

| Drugstores- From there I like Revlon color stay and Neutrogena. However you wont get much paler than porcelain
Mall/Department store is tricky. Good quality foundations cost from $20-40 dollars. If you want to spend that much I can help you out.
Sephora has at $14 dollar powder, but its good for setting makeup
Online- Manic Panic makes really pale shades of powder and foundation from 13-15 bucks. I think the foundation is a bit greasy but it works well when mixed with other foundations to lighten them.
You could use baby powder, but you have to be careful on how to apply it. Make sure you dont inhale it too

| You can always mix powder with a tiny wee bit of foundation which will last all day
I dont know whether you have Barry M products where you are but they are really reasonable and excellent quality

| I've tried their virgin powder. A light layer of the powder over your normal makeup foundation will lighten it up to a lovely degree. I have not had any problems with the powder, so Vampyre Veil may also be just as good. | |

| I'm interested in bangs with a V shape like this: Could I cut my bangs to look like that, or would I have to wear a clip-on fringe? Would rounded bangs like this be more manageable? | |

| You're in luck because I just got my hair cut in v-bangs!
I would suggest to wear clip-on bangs at first if you are unsure how they will look, or if you're not used to having bangs. I haven't had bangs in 20 years, and I took a black scarf and put the corner of it on my forehead to see how that shape would look, since I have a small forehead.
I think if you have a round or short face, the v-bangs would look better because they would lengthen your face. The rounded or straight bangs would make your face look smaller. But, the v-bangs can be a bit of a pain to get them to lay right, since it is such a specific shape the hairs are cut into.
I invested in one of those mini flat-irons and it has been a big help, especially since I have a cowlick. I've had to train my hair and even though she cut the bangs straight, we need to re-cut them when the hair is dry and styled. Also be prepared for that, and lots of trimming. Also get a VERY fine toothed comb, actually they are cheap so get 2 and keep one in your purse for touch-ups.

| Unless you are a phenom stylist, I wouldn't suggest you cut the bangs yourself. | |

| I like clip in bangs b/c they say even and the same length. I had a fringe for a while and I always found myself trimming them up to make them even. Every time I showered and dried my hair my fringe would be different. I got sick of the up keep and got fake bangs. plus, I like having too looks now! | |

| http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12441110I bought this in a dark red color yesterday. I am returning it b/c its terrible. I just wanted to warn you guys. I expected a dark red shade but instead I got a light purple/plum shade that was 75 percent gloss. barley any pigment. I love High end makeup b.c of its quality but I look for cheap solutions sometimes. Hard Candy lipstick was not a good solution

| Too bad, I thought Hard Candy was the slightly cheaper/younger version of Urban Decay :-( I was excited to see that brand at Evil-Mart. | |

| Other Hard Candy reviews
Colored mascara- works well if your eyelashes are blond. If not I would buy a mascara with white primer and use that first. You cant put too much on b/c the stuff clumps fast
Metallic stick- I got it in gold. The gold is pretty. but it takes a few sticky rubs to get a true gold. I have to put gold eyeshadow over it to set the sticky-ness
I tried the silver one and it was not silver. I would just get Loreal HIP eyeshadow in silver and black for a true silver look.
