I have some days off before I start the 5 weeks from hell starting Saturday.

We're supposed to have thunder storms at some point today & it made me happy. I am glad that summer storms can still make me feel like a giddy little kid

I'm happy because there's a three tier Red Velvet Cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla fudge frosting in my big cake tin in readiness for my smallest angel's 8th Birthday on Tuesday.

I found $100 worth of Macy's gift certificates in some unopened Macy's credit card bills. I usually pay my bill online or in the store, so I rarely open up the paper statements that come in the mail. So very glad my nosey husband opened up my last bill and pointed out that there was a gift certificate in there. LOL

I cleaned out my underwear drawer and found a couple more bras and a few more socks. A few of the underwear that never fit (and I never wore) are going off to a charity shop. Hopefully, those bras still fit.

I just got a text. I guess matt used someone's phone from work to text me and say his isn't working, he loves me, and he will try to get ahold of me again some how some time soon. I just went from feeling like I can't sleep to feeling like I want to dance around my room listening to music all girly like. Strange thing was at the moment I was thinking about how dang hot it is. But I'm still happy I heard from him.

I saw a Yggdrasil pendant in the craft section at Wal-Mart.

I had a very motivated day. Went for a run, stepping up my game there to the next level successfully, spent about 40 minutes on resistance band training, and went for a swim, though I hadn't been swimming in years and was perhaps a little overly optimistic there. I figured I'd go and do a couple laps around the island. I made it TO the island. Seems my arms were still fairly fatigued from the bands earlier.

Now to work on convincing myself to do this every day.

^^Agreed. It's crazy how little effort can make such a big mood change, even when you don't realize it affects you.

I'm happy because after class, I get to go home tomorrow.

Guys think it takes so much to make a girl happy, when really it doesn't.
